Hi, I would like to extend the offer of the J & J vaccine to my patients and their family members who have not yet been vaccinated. The J & J advantage is one injection, and therefore quicker immunity. I believe the vaccine safety is profile and benefits outweighs the very small risk of complications. Please call the office to set up your vaccination appointment. Stay safe, Stay well, get vaccinated!

Hi, I think these guidelines are helpful guidance for our vaccinated patients, friends, and famil. CDC Guidelines Summary for Fully Vaccinated Individuals What’s Changed... If you’ve been fully vaccinated: You can gather indoors with fully vaccinated people without wearing a mask. You can gather indoors with unvaccinated people from one other household (for example, visiting with relatives who all live together) without masks, unless any of those people or anyone they live with has an increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19. If you’ve been around someone who has COVID-19, you do not need to stay away from others or get tested unless you have symptoms. o However, if you live in a group setting (like a correctional or detention facility or group home) and are around someone who has COVID-19, you should still stay away from others for 14 days and get tested, even if you don’t have symptoms. What Hasn’t Changed For now, if you’ve been fully vaccinated: You should still take steps to protect yourself and others in many situations, like wearing a mask, staying at least 6 feet apart from others, and avoiding crowds and poorly ventilated spaces. Take these precautions whenever you are: o In public o Gathering with unvaccinated people from more than one other household o Visiting with an unvaccinated person who is at increased risk of severe illness or death from COVID-19 or who lives with a person at increased risk You should still avoid medium or large-sized gatherings. You should still delay domestic and international travel. If you do travel, you’ll still need to follow CDC requirements and recommendations. You should still watch out for symptoms of COVID-19, especially if you’ve been around someone who is sick. If you have symptoms of COVID-19, you should get tested and stay home and away from others. You will still need to follow guidance at your workplace.

Do you believe the "pandemic" is over once you are vaccinated?

Dr. Bruce Lowell, MDVIP 11.11.2020

We used to say "Have a Nice Day" we now say "Stay Safe"

Dr. Bruce Lowell, MDVIP 09.11.2020

Hopefully everyone is being safe and practicing social distancing. We still are not able to offer any testing here at the office or in the New York Presbyterian Lab. Northwell has a testing hotline at 833 487 2273. This pandemic has also reflected the non Covid patient. I was quoted in a Time Article today: https://www.nytimes.com//health/treatment-delays-coronavir Stay Safe

One small joy I have during this crissi is watching to my son's instagram live show at noon every weekday. The show can be found under Lomoon live. The show is only 10 minutes long, he dose a poignant monologue and then plays an original song or cover.

We still do not have testing for either active virus (PCR) or serology (monitor of active immunity or past infection) available at the office or our local labs. The handling of this cirisis is a disgrace. The nursing homes are a hot bed of Novel Covid 19 for both staff workers and resdents alike. This is very sad. It is said a society is judged by the way we treat out very young, very old, and disabled!

Dr. Bruce Lowell, MDVIP 03.10.2020

Please stay safe. I am doing virtual visits through facetime whatsapp or Skype during this crisis. Call office 516 482 0991 we are in the office but not seeing patients. Testing is still not available at office (hopefully soon) and is reserved for the sick ,first responders, and health care workers Unfortunately, we have people in our practice who have contracted covid This virus is very serious!

Happy and Healthy New Year to all of my wonderful patients. Review your previous wellness exam, and please ask questions or voice your concerns. The specialized CMIT (carotid media intimal test) testing is a valuable tool in helping us detect early atherosclerotic disease. We will be performing this test again in the near future. The Fasting Mimmicking Diet five day plan is part of my New Year's resolution to help rejuvenate my system to help me meet the challenges of the year to come.

Lo Moon's new song "For Me Its You" was the featured World Debut on Sirius Alt Nation Advance Placement on Wednesday. The song was released today by Columbia records on all platforms. The song is absolutely beautiful! I am very proud of the band as they enter the next phase of their carrier.
