It’s been a year since lockdown was announced and we have come so far. Thanks to our donors, we have been able to: Serve 684,613 individuals across the Empire State Division Provide 438,148 food boxes, equal to 15,133,131 meals Provide 100,723 nights of shelter... We saw a massive increased need for our services with COVID-19 and we were able to meet them because of the generous hearts that gave to The Salvation Army. The need is still there. Mental health has been a struggle since the onset of the pandemic. Donna, like many others, came to The Salvation Army in search of help and was connected with teletherapy services to get back on track. While COVID-19 has been a challenge for hundreds of thousands of people across our division, these numbers show the tenacity of our donors and volunteers. We have accomplished SO much over the course of the last 12 months and we are not done yet. The Salvation Army is here for those still suffering the consequences from the pandemic. We help with hot meals, groceries, a place to stay while you get back on your feet, and so much more. Together, we will get through this.

The one-year anniversary of COVID-19 shutting America down is approaching and we’ve come a long way.
