Attention Polka Friends and Fans..... We have a very special edition of FaceBook "Live" coming up this Sunday, June 28, 2020 from 2 pm to 5pm EDT. Please join Geri and me for a heartfelt tribute to Matthew Kushner, A.K.A. Matty K. and help us Celebrate Matty K. Appreciation Day!... The event is being held on this page, to honor our close friend who passed away June 10, 2020. Matty K. did a local radio show on Sunday afternoons here in Buffalo, NY. He was a columnist for the AmPol Eagle, secretary for the Polka Variety Social Club, member of the Buffalo Polka Boosters and had a host of other major accomplishments. We'll have some special songs and dedications as we just sit back and reminisce about how Matty touched all of our lives. Please make certain you listen carefully at the end of the broadcast, to the very last polka tune played. We've done a "voice collage" to show Matty and his entire family (who will be tuned in on FaceBook "Live") just how much he meant to us. This will be just a fraction of the people who's lives Matty K. touched. Also, if you know someone who wants to listen but is NOT on Facebook, you can click on the link provided and send them an email. Just copy and paste it into your message to them so that they too can enjoy the event. Please join Geri and I for the 50th Anniversary Picnic of the Buffalo Polka Boosters, Sunday July 26, 2020 beginning at 2pm EDT and going until 7pm, (or later). The Buffalo Polka Booster FB group page will be updated soon. The bands performing at the picnic for the 50th are: The Buffalo Touch, Buffalo Concertina All-Stars, Rare Vintage, The Knewz, Special Delivery, John Gora and Gorale from Canada, New Direction and PhoCus. We cannot wait to see everyone "on-line" as we do another FB "Live" broadcast for you, your friends and family. This "Virtual Picnic" is open to the public. Everyone is welcome to join us. Please keep one of our members and big time Polka supporter in your prayers. Chester (Kowalski). The man with style, always wears a suit, the guy who always has jokes to tell and loves to dance especially with his beloved, Eleanor. Chester is weakening (#Cancer sucks). Due to social distancing, Polka people, Polka band members and Polka DJs are meeting at the back of the Apple Tree Mall parking lot this Saturday at 2pm (April 25th) to do a car parade and drive-by past Chester & Elanor's house (just down Como Park Blvd). If you know Chester, PLEASE join us as we pay respect and show our best wishes to him. There will be a polka band playing to fulfill Chester's wish to hear one more Polka. ty

Praying for our long time club member Chester Kowalski ...we love you very much!!!

Due to the coronavirus concerns the officers and board members of the Buffalo Polka Boosters have decided to postpone our 50th Anniversary picnic scheduled for July 26th at Fontana's until 2021. Date TBD later. Our families, members and friends are our number one priority. No ones well being is worth the risk. In the meantime please be safe, healthy and most of all stay home and enjoy time with your loved ones. We will be looking forward to when we will be able to enjoy time together and have a huge celebration. Keep polka music alive! We miss our members so very much. Take care and God Bless all of you. Attention: Buffalo Polka Boosters Members Due to the continuous spread of the coronavirus and bans that have been put in place we will be cancelling our April 15th meeting. This too shall pass at one point or another but for now please stay home and healthy. We will advise on a monthly basis if and when we will restart our meetings. Attention Buffalo Polka Booster Members: Due to the warnings of the coronavirus situation, the officers and board have decided to cancel our meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 at the Polish Falcons, Depew. Our concern is the safety and health of our members. It's much better to be safe than sorry. Hopefully this shall pass and we can all get back to our everyday lives without panic.
