Softball Pitching Mechanics: Standing Bent Elbow Raises w/ Rear Hip Movement | High Level Throwing. We say "Hip", but what we mean is that the rear Femur will... internally rotate slightly, before the pelvis starts to rotate. This is the beginning and initiation of the sequence! After the pelvis begins rotating, the trunk starts to rotate, followed by shoulder internal rotation and then the forearm beings to unravel through ball release!
