Buffalo State's Student Council for Exceptional Children will be hosting an event on Thursday, October 4th from 6:00-8:00PM in Bacon 117. We will discuss how to best interact with children on the spectrum to encourage language, socialization, and appropriate play. These strategies can be implemented in home, school, or community settings. If you attend the event on October 4, you will also be eligible to volunteer at Au-Some Evenings at Explore & More Children's Museum on... Friday, October 12th from 5:30-8:00. Children with autism and their families will attend our private party. We have a music therapist, several therapy dogs, OT students from UB, Jump Bunch in the gym, and lots of other fun activities. Additionally, children will arrive in Halloween costumes and will trick or treat around the Museum, practicing their Halloween skills! Help us hand out candy and play with some adorable kids!
