Buffalo Zen Dharma Community

This was our tenth year at Christ the King Seminary. Much gratitude was felt and expressed this weekend - for the teachers, the teachings, the work involved in setting up and taking down the retreat, the meals, and the innumerable ways in which we have supported each-other on our respective journeys. There was also deep gratitude for the seminary buildings and grounds themselves. In light of the recent announcement that the seminary will close this May, it felt incredibly fitting that our first and - most likely - last retreat in this space were both led by Hojin Sensei.

Reminder - tomorrow is our last evening of Zazen before the new year. We will reconvene on 01/07/2020 and welcome newcomers that night. A very safe and peaceful holiday season to you all!

Reminder - this Tuesday will be our annual holiday potluck. Bring a dish to share and get to know your fellow sangha members!

These are some of the student practitioners from Buffalo Zen Dharma Community at a recent event at Zen Mountain Monastery. While some of the practitioners with BZDC are formal students in the Mountains and Rivers Order, the bulk of our local sangha is non-students. Everyone is welcome! Our next introduction to Zazen will be on December 3rd.
