The City of Boston has extended restrictions on businesses as part of a modified version of Phase 2 Step 2 in an effort to combat the rise in cases following Thanksgiving. Those restrictions which limited indoor gatherings to 10 people and outdoor gatherings to 25, and forced a number of businesses closed were set to expire on Wednesday. Given the high numbers that we’re seeing today and the last several weeks, we’re extending this pause for at least another three weeks... until Jan. 27, Walsh said during a press conference on Tuesday. Under the restrictions, gyms, indoor fitness centers, health clubs, movie theaters, museums and aquariums will remain closed. Indoor dining is allowed to continue with restricted bar seating, and indoor instructional classes for youth can also resume, with a 10-person maximum. In effect now and for at least two weeks Massachusetts has reduced indoor capacity to 25%. Below is a list from the governor’s office of the industries and businesses that will be subject to the new 25% capacity limit. Note that staff will not count toward the occupancy count for restaurants, places of worship, retail businesses and close contact personal services. Restaurants (based on permitted seating capacity)... Just prior to a scheduled damages hearing, on June 23, 2020, the City of Glens Falls Common Council voted unanimously to approve a six-figure settlement effectively ending a nearly four year lawsuit filed by the city’s former assessor over her termination. In February 2020 Judgment was entered in favor of the City’s former assessor finding that the disciplinary process deprived Stack of an independent, unbiased adjudicator and that the city could not have taken into account... a 1990s criminal conviction in its decision to fire Stack. Sarah Burger, a lawyer representing Stack, said the city clearly violated her client’s rights, but said the settlement is the best outcome for both parties. We are pleased to announce that as of this week we have reopened in Boston, Mass and Saratoga Springs, NY. Burger Law Group PLLC Re-Opening Protocols: The following guidelines will be followed at both of our locations for our safety and yours:... All clients may continue to meet virtually by Zoom or other video conference.
