Tonight Friends of BCPC at the Bova Center gave away 48 backpacks to girls and boys, age 5 to 18, who attend the center. Included in the backpacks were school supplies for the kids. The kids thoroughly enjoyed picking out the style of backpack they wanted and watching their friends pick their backpacks, too. We hope everyone has a safe and happy school year!

I will be retiring after 24 years of service on June 26! This account will be deleted soon after. My send-off ceremony at the Public Safety Building (511 S State St) will be Tuesday morning June 25 at 10am.

Boris was one of the attendees at our program. To say we are proud of the actions of him and his friends is a massive understatement! A truly selfless and heroic act!

Mark your calendars and Save the Date! The Northside Festival, sponsored by TNT Northside, will be held again this year at the Bova Center in beautiful Schiller Park on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 1 to 4 p.m. There will be family fun activities and the best of our vibrant, culturally diverse neighborhood will be featured.
