C.A.C. is hard at work doing tree removal after Tropical Storm Isaias ripped through the five boroughs last Tuesday. As you can see, tremendous damage was done to both city and private property. Knocking over telephone polls, crushing cars, as well as some homes. The storm left nearly 260,000 Con-Ed customers without power for days. It is the 2nd largest outage recorded. We are currently working on removing downed trees in the Bronx as well as Staten Island. Thank you to the C.A.C. team for your rapid response over the weekend.

Upgrading and repairing New York City’s infrastructure is a job that can not be halted. C.A.C.’s number one priority is keeping our employees and everyone on the jobsite SAFE at all times. Due to the COVID-19 virus and its rapid spread through New York city, we have taken new measures on site to keep personnel safe using social distancing during routine huddles and breaks. Meetings between management that would normally take place face-to-face are now being held through video conferencing. We have also distributed hand soap, sanitizer, wipes, masks and gloves to all our our crews out in the field. C.A.C is taking this very serious, and we encourage everyone to do the same. Thank you to our tremendous employees for their continuous hard work through this difficult time. PLEASE continue to practice good hygiene and social distancing.
