It is really fascinating to hear of the changes occurring in Christian circles regarding God's worship. Today more than a few Christians are finding that there ...is much more to worship than singing songs and feeling good about their faith. Want to know the most direct way to worship God? Read on. In the four Gospels, Jesus said we should love God with all our heart, mind, soul, strength --- well, you understand, right? We are to love God with everything we have, and all that we are. The reality of that love is demonstrated in all that we do, and not just talked about to church peers. Jesus also said that similarly, we are to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. In the Gospel of John, Jesus says also, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." To do these things you need no special buildings, weekly service, no group of congregants, nor any other thing. All you need is true love in your heart for God and an earnest desire to do His will. And there you have the most meaningful worship possible, and in the deepest communion with God. If you have never tried it before, you may find it a bit scary. After all, it all comes down to just you and God, alone. He is waiting for you. What are you waiting for? Easter. About two thousand years ago, Jesus rose from the tomb as He had said He would. Remember His crucifixion? People still celebrate that event every year a...s though it is something brand new. Won't say much about that, but.......how many people live their life as though they actually believe it happened? In this period of calamity, even folks without saving faith in the Lord are doing far beyond what should be reasonably expected of almost anyone. Those without saving faith in Jesus should be recognized for their efforts and sacrifices, and the risks they take that could imperil their families and others. Their deeds should be well rewarded! They are earning the favor and regard of us all. Christians, on the other hand, should count it all joy that they are always blessed to be involved in service to our Master. Christians have received their greatest reward already - - the forgiveness of their sin and the promise of eternal bliss and joy in the presence of the Lord. You simply can't improve on that.. We should willingly do what is expected of us as His servants with all of our strength, might, soul, mind, and all else. That is our duty. For those who don't yet know Him, look for opportunity to tell them about God's grace and love. They will die eternally without it. Questions? Comments? We're always here for you. A Special Note About COVID-19 & Medical Ventilators...... COVID-19 is real, and spreading fast. It won't end soon. Some folks question whether it is man-made or... naturally occurring. That is irrelevant. It is obviously deadly. I personally feel it is not so much a question of IF someone gets this virus, but WHEN. That is the critical element we all need to be putting off for as long as possible. My reasoning is that time is required to develop better & more facilities and options for treating those with the disease. That is not happening as fast as will be needed. But there will also be more critically essential medical ventilators in the weeks and months ahead. They will mean the difference between life-or-death for many patients. BE SMART! Take absolutely no unnecessary risks. Take the advice given for social behaviors like gatherings and shopping. Protect your family by enforcing cleanliness and hand washing.
