Last night, November 25, 2020, at 17:37 hours Callicoon Fire Department was dispatched with a ladder truck, engine, and mp to assist Lake Huntington Fire Department along with multiple other fire departments to a working commercial structure fire.

BREAKING: Five fire companies respond to a structure fire at American Electric on Nearing Road on Wednesday evening at approximately 5:30 p.m. Lake Huntington V...olunteer Fire Department responded and called for mutual aid from Lava, for their tanker truck; Callicoon for their ladder truck; and firefighter assistance from Kenoza Lake, and White Lake fire departments. This evening(11/25/20) shortly after 17:30 the White Lake Fire Company was dispatched for a full response to assist the Lake Huntington Fire Company at a Workin...g Structure Fire! White Lake firefighters along with Callicoon firefighters made a very aggressive interior attack on the 2nd floor while 2 more white lake firefighters pushed in the rear of the first floor. The coordinated effort of all interior and exterior operations helped quickly control the fire. Unfortunately there was extensive damage to a local buisness and good friends to many of us! We wish the best to the entire American Electric family! White Lake units on scene were 35-1,2,3 35-12, 35-21, 35-11, 35-51, and 35-62! Great Job by all involved tonight. Congratulations to Callicoon firefighter Jordan Sticks Maxwell and the recruits from other fire departments in the county on passing SCBA/Interior Firefighting Operations - FF1. Thanks to the instructors, the personnel from the Sullivan County Emergency Services Training Center, and departments that participated in the training with apparatus and equipment.
