Cal-Mum Community Education is offering the NYS DMV Five Hour Pre-license Course on Thursday, January 21, 2021. This course will be virtual - taught via Zoom and starting at 3 p.m. The fee is $35 per student - it is not due in full until January 18 2021. Payment arrangements are possible if needed. We are holding the 5 Hour Pre-license Course via Zoom (online) next week, August 13 & 14, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. each morning. You will need a good internet connection and a computer/laptop, Chromebook, larger tablet/Ipad (probably not going to work on a phone). The cost is $35 per student. It is open to the public. Here we are at July 22, 2020. The district has assembled a Reopening Task Force with numerous subcommittees, all planning for a healthy and successful return to on campus learning for our students. At this time, the district is planning to reopen our schools according to the NYSED health and safety guidelines, however, Gov. Cuomo will be making the final decision on schools reopening in the first few days of August 2020. Cal-Mum Community Education suspended its program in M...arch 2020 when the governor closed our schools. It is our goal to once again offer our programs to the students and our community. Many people have called to inquire about the NYSDMV Five Hour Pre-licensing course, which is required in order to schedule a road test. As soon as we are able to offer the course, we will do so while adhering to the social distancing and mask wearing guidelines. As for the men's basketball and indoor walking programs that would normally start in the fall, we do not have a decision as to whether or not we can offer them. The focus right now is on returning our students to school in September in the absolute safest way possible. Thank you for your past support and participation in Community Education. With so much important work taking place at Cal-Mum School the last several days, we are late in posting this but feel that you all knew this. All Community Education classes as well as indoor walking and men's basketball league, are canceled indefinitely.
