How to beat the cold.... get a fat bike... if you can find one this year. There are plenty of mellow non technical trails around to venture out on if that’s a concern. And you’ll stay warm as toast 5 minutes into the ride. At average paces of 5-7 mph there isn’t much windchill to deal with. Remember N+1 and these are sooooooo much fun to ride. Four riders met at the parking lot today and we had a pleasant ride. Started out around 37 degrees, but it got up to a balmy 41! Good ride and towards the end of it, we ran into Dave & Diane who were heading out in the opposite direction. It was great seeing them and getting caught up a little. Only 3 of us for the Columbus Day ride, but we went over the Notch and had a nice ride of 33 miles. A little chilly, but not at all uncomfortable. Oct 12, 2020

We had an impressive turnout of 8 riders on our penultimate Mild Monday ride of the year. Finished 18 miles with very comfortable temperatures, as you can see by the way some are dressed. Good times! Sept 21, 2020
