Camelot Farms

To those of you who are an 8-5 worker, let me tell you what's it's like to be an 8-5 worker AND and a farmer. You don't get to choose when our chickens decide to lay an egg. You don't get to choose when the right time is for a predator to attack. You don't get to choose the exact moment when you pull your back from mucking out the stables/coop/fall over ruts. You don't get to choose when rabbits/deer eat your crop and your harvest is over.... You don't get to choose when your cow goes into labor. You don't get to choose when your next day off is. You don't get to choose when your house will ever be clean again. But you demand our product, whether it be meat, eggs, produce, and give us a hard time about it? And especially that our "work" schedules are interfering with your life? Maybe you should reflect on your blessings. We are trying our best. See more

RIP Snowball. You were our first rooster, and were loved beyond measure! You brought so much joy to the people in the markets we took you to, and were a fantastic companion to Pepper and dad to Lancette. Thank you for enduring the baths from JJ, and giving roosters a good name. It won't be the same farm without you

We lost a Khaki Campbell duck this morning. Looks like it was a predator attack. I found her by the side of the road

We lost a girl today. She died in our arms (yes, we brought her inside and wrapped her in a blanket)... As devastated as we are, I'm glad she didnt die alone. She was one of our beloved Delaware chickens.
