A few years ago, the Director of one of Africa's most beloved elephant rescues passed away. A day or two later, a family of elephants arrived and spent the next 24 hours circling the man's house before departing in the direction from which they had come. The following day, another group arrived from the opposite direction, and they too walked round and round the house for about a day before departing. True story! How did an elephant know when a man's heart stopped? As these majestic creatures honored a man they must have trusted and loved, I'd like to think our first Elephant design (a Pendant or Pin/Brooch) honors them.
