A total team effort including campers, parents and staff is what led to a covid free summer 2020! THANK YOU to all for your diligence! Let’s do it again in 2021

In today’s day n age I was amazed to get a hand written letter in the mail! Someone actually promised themselves they would express their feelings in writing and followed through!

4:30 am,,Happy Thanksgiving! Time to preheat the ovens so all the turkeys donated can be served as hot meals in a few hours. Thank you to all for your help!

(RE: Kenwal) Reminder there is a turkey drop off at Kenwal tonight between 6:00pm-7:00pm. We can also meet you any day & time that works for you up through Friday. Just let us know when? So far we've collected 220 lbs of Turkey and have a commitment from one family, whose camper went here 14 years ago, to bring 200lbs of turkey tonight! keep em coming!

Ok..So Far so good. We've gotten the 1st one hundred pounds of turkey! Only 900 lbs to go. Next three times to drop off will be this Thursday 11/5 between 12:30-2:00, Saturday 11/7 between 10:00-12:00 and Tues 11/10 between 6:00pm-7:00pm. keep’em coming!!!

Dear family and friends, Last year during thanksgiving we were able to help feed over 850 people locally during the Thanksgiving season! I personally cooked and carved over 350 pounds of turkey. After doing so, many people said " if I had known you were doing that, I would have helped!" WELL, HERE'S YOUR CHANCE!! This year, more than any other year, We would like to be able to say we helped feed over 1000 people, and I will personally commit to cooking 400 pounds of turkey to... be distributed locally! Thinking you might want to help? Here's what you can do. Right now we are in phase one. WE NEED TURKEYS! Next time you go shopping buy a turkey and drop it off at Kenwal Day Camp! frozen till phase two (cooking the Turkey) We'll keep it Our first drop off will be this Sunday, November 1st from 10-12. If that time doesn't work for you just let us know and we'll set up a time that works! Bring the kids and it can be their good deed for the day! What an awesome evening! Thank you Deidre, Nicole, Anthony, Jamie and all our Kenwal drama club players! You were all awesome! A special shout out to The Newstand Deli for your support. Your food and catering is always awesome!

Dear Uncle Howie, Uncle Larry and all Kenwal staff, Well let's see this summer you faced : A delayed opening due to a pandemic that made the the world stand still, you had to open camp following guidelines most camps around here couldn't adhere to and therefore couldn't open, you had to deal with rain nearly every week ( though it NEVER rains at Kenwal) , you overcame a freak fire on the road to get to camp and navigating the traffic for drop off. Not to mention successfully... getting through the tropical storm that knocked our your power and internet.So I have one complaint!!! Why does it have to end???? You all gave my boys the best summer they ever could have and never expected to have. Drop off was a blast watching you guys dance to start the day. Our kids had fun from drop off to pick up. Every single person made sure all the kids had a blast. I have never seen such hard working young men and women. Our boys came home exhausted and excited and sweaty and happy. Something they had been missing for MONTHS! Thank you Kenwal for yet again giving our boys the summer they so deserve and giving us the peace of mind knowing they are in the best of hands. Can't wait till next year! We love you Kenwal and we start counting down the days to camp starts again. Til Next Summer Kenwal! We love you Love the Wallace Family Please share with everyone
