For our first weekly #CollectionFindFriday post, we have a timely discovery from the Canal Society's Madden Collection. On this day in 1925 Syracuse was, as you... might expect, buried by a snowstorm. This photo album includes pictures of the Weighlock Building and the streets of Syracuse deep in snow. The album also includes pictures from other canal scenes and disasters that occurred in 1925, including various floods, an ice jam in Baldwinsville, and collapsed bridges on the Chenango Valley Canal and also near Fayetteville. Today the Weighlock Building is home to the Erie Canal Museum. See more
