AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION Scrap After months of nurturing, tests and getting her diabetes leveled out, she is now ready for adoption! Scrap is just about the perfect dog. Scrap very quiet, and she is a very happy dog. She is about 12 years old. She loves attention and wags her tail so fast when she is near you. Scrap is also housebroken. Scrap has two minor issues which any potential adopter would need to be willing to accept. First of all, Scrap is blind. Once she learns the layout of your house, she gets around very well and can even do stairs. Second of all, Scrap is diabetic. But please don't think that her diabetes is a daunting issue. Two meals a day and two insulin shots and she is good to go! Scrap does require a special food due to her diabetes which is a prescription food you can get from your vet's office. It is estimated that the total cost for her insulin, syringes, and prescription food would amount to approximately $130 per month. Scrap would love a quiet home (maybe with another older dog?) to spend her retirement years.
