I went camping with Pathfinders several times as a kid. Best memories ever! But there was one experience I never forgot: I was assigned to a group and we were p...itching our tent, but chose to take short cuts. The tent wasn’t pitched properly. Well, In the middle of the night, it started to rain. Our tent fell apart, we got wet and had to run elsewhere to spend the night. Whoever hears My words but does not do them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain descended, the floods came, the winds blew and the house fell. Matthew 7:26, 27 I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. Psalm 84:10 Make sure the foundation you’re building your life on is steady and secure. Because storms will come in the middle of the night and anything not built on the Eternal Foundation, Jesus, will fall apart. Careers, relationships, party lifestyle, a form of godliness, education, people, money, etc. fade. None are good foundations even if they’re not bad things. We can choose now, while it’s daytime, to choose a new Foundation and build a sturdy House before nightfall. Are you living in God’s House (sure and strong foundation) or your tent?
