Anyone sick of Milky Way photos yet? This is a single image, a 60 second exposure. I pulled out my star tracker which I have not used in years, and that allows me to get such a long exposure without getting star trails. I have to go out and practice some more but it’s a good start. I was joined by Niles Hughes this morning on the beaches of Montauk, NY to capture some Milky Way photos. It was his first time out and he captured some great images of the Milky Way for his firs...t time. A hundred times better than my first time out. Another day, another Milky Way photo. This one is from Sunday. This is 7 photos stitched together to create this small pano. Going out again late tonight to shoot some more Milk. Tonight I’m going to try my star tracker and get longer exposures. I’m also going to have company tonight. It’s nice when you have company, you’re mind is not going crazy on you thinking an animal is going to jump out at you. Lol. Honda Civic, out of this world! Hahaha. Taken very early Sunday morning out in Montauk, NY. To create this image here I took 12 photos exposed for the sky and stacked them to help reduce the noise (grain). Then I took a another photo exposed for my car to create this composite. If you click on the photo and zoom in you can see the reflection of some of the stars in my car. ...
