Caring Community Basket Brigade

Caring Community Basket Brigade was started in 2016 to feed 50 families on Thanksgiving. This year we fed 940 families a full meal. Thank you to all of the volunteers. A special thanks to the Capital District YMCA for helping us grow this cause

We are getting closer to reaching our goal to feed 1,000 families

During these challenging times, the need to help our neighbors has never been greater. The Caring Community Basket Brigade is all about "People Helping People."... Thanks to generous donors like you, since 2016, we have fed over 1,400 families a full Thanksgiving meal. This campaign has brought an abundance of joy to those in need during the Thanksgiving holiday. With your help, along with the Caring Community Basket Brigade's partners and volunteers, we delivered and fed over 600 individuals a complete Thanksgiving dinner in 2019. This year, we plan to continue the tradition and raise the bar by serving at least 1,000 local families, approximately 4,000 individuals! Please support our efforts by donating today! Hi friends! Let’s all work together to help our neighbors who need us on Thanksgiving. The cost to feed a family is $60. We are looking for monetary donations and/or food to help with this cause. We are looking to feed 1,000 families this year.

It is hard to believe that it is the fifth year that Caring Community Basket Brigade will be feeding families in need on Thanksgiving. Our goal this year is 1,000 families. See the flyers attached for details. The cost to feed a family is $60. That is $60,000 or food donations to accomplish our goal.
