Thank you very much Hendrickson Fire Rescue Equipment for building us our brand new EMS Fly Car, a 2019 Chevy Tahoe! This vehicle will go to the Chief of the department that is in charge of the daily operations of our organization. This vehicle will ensure a quicker response time for high quality patient care to be delivered at a moment's notice as well as becoming an EMS command vehicle for larger scale operations. If you see this vehicle as well as our ambulances throughout your day, be sure to wave or say hello if we're not in the middle of an emergency!

18 years ago today we all watched in awe as terrible events unfold in NYC. We witnessed the loss of 2,977 people, 23 NYPD Police officers, 37 NY Port Authority police officers, 343 FDNY firefighters, 1 New York Fire patrol firefighter, 2 FDNY Paramedics, 9 New York State private Paramedics and EMT's, the remaining 2,852 where civilians. The loss was felt not only in New York, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania but across the nation. Out of all the devastation rose a greater sens...e of unity as people banded together and volunteered to help out in whatever way they can. Whether in relief efforts down at ground zero or just helping out and supporting others. We should all take a moment today to reflect upon the events of that horrible day and honor those that gave the ultimate sacrifice by running to help every last person they could. We will never forget September 11 2001 or those that lost their lives that day. See more

Today we hosted a CPR refresher course for our members who needed to renew their CPR card. It's very important to refresh on CPR protocols and procedures often since 911 calls that warrant CPR are not as often as other types of 911 calls such as being sick or injured. These are just one of the many free training we offer to our members to help better serve our community! #ems #emslife #joincarmelvac #volunteer #cprtraining Interested in joining Carmel Volunteer Ambulance Corp? Make sure to stay hydrated and cool this weekend. Check on your loved ones and be mindful of outdoor animals. Try to avoid any strenuous outside activities as well during this heatwave and don't leave kids/pets in vehicles at parking lots. Stay safe everyone!

Carmel Ambulance as well as various other emergency agencies, Town/Highway Departments and construction companies participated in Big Truck Day at Kent Public Library. Kids were able to see and touch various big trucks and interact with the people who use them on a daily basis.
