I love a good story that blurs the lines between reality and fiction. This phone picture was taken in Etretat, where Arsène Lupin (the Gentleman Burglar) is believed to have hidden a treasure. I was actually standing right above the Needle where the alleged treasure was buried. And although this story is straight out of a book (l’Aiguille Creuse, or the Hollow Needle for y’all Americans), a legend grew and some people actually believe the rock is hollow and contains something rare and special. Expeditions have been carried from the sea and land to find it, but it was never found. Or maybe it was and nobody knows about it. I am usually only believe what I see, but in this particular case I’d like to believe something amazing (and preferably shiny) is hiding under there. Why not believe something better awaits?
May 2021 bring us all the candlelit wedding receptions our hearts desire, which is at leas one million. Each. PS: my phone tried auto-correcting heart to beer, so there’s that’s. Photo by Jonica
I miss traveling. PS: I found this old iPhone pic a couple of days ago and I couldn’t remember where or when it was taken, and who the arm behind mine belonged to. Then I zoomed in and recognized Chris’ tattoo. The arm belongs to my own husband, what’s wrong with me?
I’ll never stop loving city weddings, with all their quirky street moments and quirky venues. This one definitely makes the top of the list quirk-wise. Swipe to see a few more, as well as a couple of portraits of Flora and Marisa right after they signed their marriage certificate!
Lizz was equal parts surprised and moved when her groom See started singing to her during their wedding reception. @p3bbz , @leong.see , what song was it again? Also, these two just celebrated SIXTEEN years together a couple of days ago so join me in wishing them the happiest anniversary!
I asked you guys yesterday if you wanted to see Cassie and Justin’s full donut-eating sesh and everybody answered yes. Although I am a little disappointed that nobody answered not no, here’s the full series. After their short and fun ceremony at City Hall, Cassie and Justin hopped on the subway with their friends and parents and headed to @thedonutpub for some married sweets. They ordered too many and I ended up having one (two) donut(s) before we decided to walk to their reception at @gramercyparkhotel I love when weddings incorporate true elements of NYC: small favorite food joints, a scenic stroll, or a subway adventure... Cassie and Justin had all of these and it was an awesome day.
