Apparently this is my 1,000th post, which is really surprising, but also I guess... not surprising, since I’m not the biggest fan of social media. What I am a big fan of though - is flowers! I’m such a sucker for gorgeous florals and sunny wedding days, real-life love stories and doing what I enjoy most in life - capturing them all together!! I’ve been photographing weddings since 2013 and I’ve loved every minute of working hard and making my dreams into my reality

After years of trying and heartbreak.... After months of failed fertility cycles.... After a million tears and prayers.... While in the middle of becoming certified to begin the adoption process.... We were given our very own little miracle ... I’ve put off sharing this publicly because I know how hard these posts can be for so many people who are struggling. I can’t tell you how many tears I’ve cried over other people’s announcements. If that’s you and if you are still reading this (I certainly wouldn’t have been, so if you’re not I don’t blame you) I just want to say that you are not alone... You are part of a club that no one ever asks to be in, but in it you can find so much love and support. It is the hardest uphill battle and nothing about it is fair, but you are so much stronger than you know. Miracles come in so many different forms and your miracle is out there. My last wedding of 2020 All weddings and shoots have been edited and delivered and the year has really come to a close. I don’t even know how many weddings I shot this year with all of the constant changes... I did a bunch of 1 hour ceremonies, lots of 3 hour micro weddings, and even some full blown 10 hour wedding days - and everything in between! All I know is that I am immensely grateful for every single marriage I got to be a part of this year. I’m endlessly grateful... to my couples that didn’t wait. The ones that grabbed their love and said no matter what’s happening in the world, I need to marry you! You are the ones that gave us wedding photographers hope and light in the chaos of this tough year. I couldn’t have made it through without you and I wish I could hug you all. Now, I’ll say something cliche like, let’s take the good memories from 2020 and move the hell on! All we can do is hope and pray that next year will be slightly better, but long story short, we survived. #bye2020 See more

Even though the holidays have been so different this year, I’ve really been soaking up this time of rest. The week between Christmas and New Years is normally jam-packed with dinner plans, going out, family parties and a long check list of people to see and things to do... And while I miss all of those things so much, there is also something nice about taking ‘time off’ that is actually for yourself. It doesn’t happen to often in ‘normal’ life. ... The holidays may feel lonelier for some this year... Maybe you lost a loved one, Maybe you live far away and don’t want to be on a plane, Maybe you lost your job and can’t afford to travel, Maybe you have a high risk job, Maybe for a million other reason... ... but I think people recognizing the importance of self care is one good thing that has come out of 2020. I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays, no matter how you are celebrating... You are loved, you are appreciated, you are enough, just the way you are.
