The North Fork community opened its hearts to donate to the needy during a recent food drive hosted by the Southold Fire Department. Cast Southold Town was one of the recipients of this generosity. "We are so happy to be members of our small community and to see how much people help people," said Southold Fire Department Chief Peggy Killian. "We'd like to thank the public for all the donations of food," she said.

In April 2021, for Hunger Awareness Month, Cast Southold Town (CAST) will be hosting a Virtual 5k Run/Walk to end hunger in our community. You can register online and run or walk 3.1 miles at any time or anywhere convenient for you during the month of April. Record your results online. We will send you a t-shirt and a ticket for a 4-pack of LOVEBIRD beer at Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. (adults) or for an ice cream at Amazing Flavors Ice Cream & Coffee Shop (children). To register, $40 for adults and $15 for children 18 and under. We hope you join us in the Race Against Hunger!
