The Ridge Quad is up and running -- Skiing and Riding tonight until 9pm!

The Ridge Quad will not be running this morning . Updates for the lift running this afternoon will be posted as soon as possible.

Looking to learn to ski or ride? SnowSports Lessons are for all levels! Lessons times are every hour, on the hour from 9am - 3pm. Lessons must be made in advance and by phone at 413-528-1262 ext. 0.

On Thursday, January 7th, the Ridge Quad will not be operating due to maintenance. We will have the Meadows and Promenade Triples operating along with the Catamount double and the carpet lifts in the Learning Area. We hope to have the Ridge Quad back running again late by Thursday or Friday. Snowmaking resumes Thursday night and throughout the weekend. We will resurface many trails and plan to add a few more trails for the weekend.

This season, Catamount is partnering with Nosh Food Truck which is a locally run catering company operating in the Capital District, Hudson Valley and surrounding areas. The food truck will be on the mountain every weekend and holiday -- located right in front of the Taconic Lodge! Stop by to taste their delicious menu!

Our Mountain Ops team have been working around the clock grooming and making snow to ensure the best possible conditions for tomorrow. Lifts spin from 8:30am-4:00pm!

Mother Nature dropped 3 of snow last night and we are feeling pretty happy about it!

Due to inclement weather today, December 25th, Catamount will be closed Saturday, December 26th and reopen Sunday, December 27th. We will use the upcoming cold weather to make snow Friday night through Sunday morning in order to provide the best conditions for reopening Sunday!

Hello Catamount Community! Catamount will be closed on the 25th to reopen Saturday, 26. Mountain operations teams will be ready to put the hill back together by tracking the mountain as the hill freezes Friday night. After tracking and as the hill sets up, we will be tilling the hill to make certain the conditions are as dialed in as possible for Saturday morning. Catamount is covered and surrounded by the wonderful fall foliage! Looking for a good way to view the fall colors this weekend, search no more! On our ZipTour, you can see Berkshire County and parts of Hudson Valley!

To promote being outside this winter we have fun attractions around our base area. The Waffle Hut, Cabana Village, and soon to come BBQ stand! Cabana Village has 30 Cabanas that are available to rent for the day (with mandatory reservations online)! With a table and chairs for 6 and heat to keep you warm, you will have your own personal base lodge for the day. Our BBQ stand will serve an assortment of grilled items and a selection of beverages!

Prepare your snow storm rituals! On top of the predicted foot of snow tonight, we’re out making snow across the mountain to ensure the best opening weekend!

We are hard at work preparing for opening day! This morning we received 2" of new snow and there is a snow storm forecasted for Wednesday night into Thursday morning with snow totals potentially up to 8 or more inches!

Snowmaking continues throughout this week from both the New York and Massachusetts summits!

Mother Nature has helped our snow making team and has brought us 2" of snow today! We are targeting December 19th for our opening date. Think snow!

Out with the old, in with the new! We just pulled out the old Glade Double chairlift and we are in the process of replacing it with a triple chair! This new triple chair will be ready for the 2021/2022 season. The Ridge Quad Chairlift will provide access to the night skiing terrain on that side of the mountain!
