Many thanks to Christina Galvin from News Channel 9 for covering our event! We are truly appreciative for the publicity and help sending out our message to the community. Matthew House benefits from all those who support the Cayuga Cares with Color Run and we are so thankful to see our community give back to such a charitable organization. Thank you all for choosing the Cayuga Cares with Color Run to show Matthew House you care with color! https://www.localsyr.com//3rd-annual-cayuga-car/1996584648

Many thanks to each and every one of you for showing Matthew House you care with color! Yesterday's event was a success and we couldn't have done it without the community's support...Thank you to our runners/walkers, thank you to our many volunteers, thank you to our sponsors for choosing our event to support, and a special thank you to Matthew House for all you do for our community. As Steve Reohr was quoted in the Citizen yesterday, "it was a beautiful day, a beautiful location, a beautiful cause." The Faculty Association at Cayuga Community College was honored to put the event together to benefit Matthew House and grateful to have such a response from our community. https://auburnpub.com//article_86f2392a-e395-513b-97a5-bb1

Cayuga Cares with Color Run 12.02.2021

Tomorrow is the big day to show Matthew House YOU care with color! We appreciate your registrations and donations to our event. The weather tomorrow is supposed... to be mid 50's to early 60's with a 10% chance of rain. The weather will be on our side...tomorrow. Today, it rained a bit and the Nature Center part of the run is slightly wet in spots. We've marked some spots that may seem iffy or a tad slippery. Some spots are small puddles, so we can pretend we're kids again running through puddles! What's a little mud and a few puddles when it comes to bright colors and caring with color, right?? If you're worried about the mud, there is a spot where you can skip the Nature Center aspect all together and run around campus three times for a full 5K instead. If you're up for the Nature Center, you'll walk/run 2 loops of the course for a 5K and 1 loop of the course for a 2.5 K. Any of our virtual runners out there...please take pictures and post them to our Cayuga Cares with Color Run Facebook page. We want to see everyone caring with color wherever you are! Don't forget, if you have any friends that would like to register tomorrow, we are up for that. Race day registration and packet pickup begins at 7:30 am and ends at 9:00 am when the first wave starts! Also, if you're bringing family members along to cheer you on, we do have raffles (a Mackenzie Child cake stand, an echo dot, manicure/pedicure gift certificate, and Mark's Pizzeria gift certificates to name a few) and food for sale to keep them busy in between cheering you on. Bi-standers are most welcome to join in the fun! Last, our loved ones are always a part of us and we want to honor them. Every race packet will have a bib number and a "I care with color and run in honor of" sticker to write the names of your loved ones. Help us honor them and all those whom Matthew House has served by caring with color in their honor. Place your sticker on our memory wall and we all can honor your loved one with you! Bi-standers can purchase a sticker for our Memory Wall too! Tomorrow is a day to have fun, honor those who are always a part of us, and help Matthew House with their mission of providing a home for those with a terminal illness to pass away with dignity and in comfort. The Faculty Association at Cayuga Community College is excited to see you all tomorrow! We are looking forward to showing Matthew how much we care with color! We'll see you all bright and early tomorrow morning! The the fun begin!
