Restaurants can apply to the Rising the Bar Restaurant Recovery Fund starting Monday, January 11, 2021. The fund offers reimbursement grants for up to $5,000 to eligible businesses. The program is intended to support full-service restaurants the industry hit hardest by the pandemic during the winter months when outdoor dining is limited and as restaurants adjust to New York State’s COVID-19 safety restrictions and new mandates. The COVID Rent Relief Extension Program will provide eligible households with a one-time rental subsidy that will be sent directly to the household’s landlord. Applicants will not need to repay this assistance.

Small Business Update: The Latest Stimulus Details and Changes to PPP Loans - U.S. Chamber Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer, Neil Bradley, and Jeanette Mulvey, Content Director at CO, discuss the new coronavirus relief deal and updates to PPP.
Congress has passed H.R. 133, the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act. This $900 billion for coronavirus assistance includes: $284 billion for the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and an extension of PPP through March 31, 2021. Certain 501(c) (6) organizations are now eligible for PPP. $3.5 billion to resume debt relief payments of principal and interest (P&I) on small business loans guaranteed by the SBA under the 7(a), 504 and microloan pro...grams. Extension and expansion of the Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC). An additional $300 per week to supplement all state and federal unemployment benefits. Full federal financing of state work-share programs. One-time direct payments of $600 for individuals earning up to $75,000 and $1,200 for couples making up to $150,000, as well as an extra $600 per eligible child dependent. See more
