A physical examination helps your PCP to determine the general status of your health. The exam also gives you a chance to talk to them about any ongoing pain or symptoms that you’re experiencing or any other health concerns that you might have. A physical examination is recommended at least once a year, and is required by your insurance company. These exams are used to: *check for possible diseases so they can be treated early... *identify any issues that may become medical concerns in the future *discuss preventative test results *update necessary immunizations *ensure that you are maintaining a healthy diet and exercise routine *build a relationship with your PCP Proper preparation for your physical examination can help you get the most out of your time with your PCP. You should gather the following paperwork before your physical examination: *list of current medications you take, including over-the-counter drugs and any herbal supplements *list of any symptoms or pain you are experiencing *results from any recent or relevant tests *medical and surgical history *names and contact information for other doctors you may have seen recently *if you have an implanted device such as a pacemaker or defibrillator, bring a copy of the front and back of your device card *any additional questions you would like answered Schedule your physical exam yearly!

We take every effort we can to keep our patients and employees safe from illness. From preventative testing to social distancing. Please know that although you may not be concerned with the Corona Virus, there are many who are. We do our best to avoid long wait times in the office, unfortunately sometimes it is unavoidable. As we enter flu season, and continue with Covid, now is a great time to have your patient portal activated. Easy access to the office without leaving your home. Return to work or school notes can easily be emailed to you!! Are you active yet on your Portal? Why or why not?

WILL YOU NEED HEALTH INSURANCE IN 2021? Open Enrollment runs from November 1 through December 15, 2020. Coverage starts January 1, 2021. If you don't enroll in a plan by December 15, you can only get 2021 Marketplace coverage if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period. Call the NY State of Health at 855-355-5777 and an insurance counselor will do your application with you. You will get the best insurance for your needs without the headache of trying to figure it out on your own!
