30 Hour Pesticide Training Course - December 2020 FOR ORNAMENTALS AND TURF CATEGORY 3A ONLINE COURSE... December 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17 and 22 6:00pm to 9:15pm Presenter: Arnie Linzer This course is approved by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and requires anyone supervising or applying pesticides to ornamental and turf to take a 30 Hour Pesticide Training Course before taking the NYS Exam to become a licensed Pesticide Applicator. The category and course covers the following control methods and materials: Herbicides and Pesticides for Turf Grasses, Ornamentals and Landscapes Pesticide Laws Pesticide Safety Labels Mixing and Storing Pesticides Pesticide Application Equipment Calculations and Calibration of Equipment Common Pests of Turf and Ornamentals Along with Other Topics of Importance to Applicators Cost: $600 (includes required manuals) - please pay through paypal after registration. Forest School at East Meadow Farm For Preschool Students Ages 2-4 Through songs, investigation, stories and hands on activities this program is designed to foster environmental awareness in a fun and creative setting. Each month will build on your child’s previous knowledge of the natural world around them at East Meadow Farm.... Monthly sessions at East Meadow Farm led by Master Gardeners who are certified teachers. Classes meet the first Thursday of each month, beginning November 2020 through June 2020.
