CRG Manhattan is incredibly excited to announce that we will be open for Member and Day Pass traffic on Wednesday, September 2nd! With an entire set of brand new boulders and top ropes, upgraded HVAC filters, free liquid chalk, and hand sanitizing stations spread throughout the gym, we are ready to rebuild NYC’s climbing community! Hi CRG Manhattan Community, As you may know, Phase 2 of the COVID-19 response has started in NYC. According to the current plan, businesses like ours will be opening in Phase 4 which should start around July 20th. We expect to hear further guidance from the state on an actual opening date, and policies regarding gym practices in the next week or so. We are so grateful for all the support from our incredible members during this time! In the meantime, we wanted to let you k...now about a few changes to our business for re-opening. These are subject to change as we get final guidance from the state. 1) We will be operating with a reduced occupancy, so we will need all climbers to sign up for a time slot ahead of their visit. Reservations will happen on our website. We will provide more details about the reservation process as the date gets closer. 2) Everyone will need to wear a mask while in the gym (staff and climbers) for safety. Also, we will be asking everyone to maintain 6 ft of social distancing while in the facility. Social distancing will be easier than before, because our occupancy will be limited to fewer climbers. 3) There will be hand sanitizer available in several locations around the facility, and we recommend that you sanitize your hands at least a few times during your visit. We will require that all climbers sanitize their hands as they enter the facility. 4) Our water fountains will be closed, so please bring water. 5) We will be providing free liquid chalk to all climbers when we reopen. You can still use your own chalk. While we realize that the entire country is adjusting to a "new normal" right now, we at CRG will also be adjusting to a "new normal" of policy changes within our facility. The list above is just a few of the new policies we will implement. Once we receive more guidance from New York, we will have a more complete list. We appreciate all the support and encouragement from our Manhattan community during this long shut down period, and we are grateful to have a chance to serve you again in the weeks ahead.

Climbers, as we continue to monitor NYC’s reopening, we wanted to let you know what we’ve been up to: we have completed a deep clean of our facility, added some fresh paint, all new padding on the Top Rope wall, and are setting new climbs. We’re implementing new measures that will help make social distancing a breeze when we are able to reopen. Stay tuned for a post with more information on our new safety rules. We can’t wait to open our doors to our wonderful community!
