What Do Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialists Do? An environmental health and safety specialist observes and chronicles individuals' typical behaviors and procedures to determine if these practices are safe for the individual and for the company as a whole. This position is especially important in manufacturing and production fields, as a great deal of safety concerns may arise for those working on heavy machinery or directly with raw materials. ... The environmental health and safety specialist identifies potential safety hazards in operations and then report their findings to supervisors, who may be a board of representatives or a senior environmental health and safety specialist. After problems are identified, the individual must develop strategies or a plan of action to safely deal with the problem. In addition, an environmental health and safety specialist also may examine the operations of a company as a whole and determine if they are environmentally friendly; for instance, this may require determining if certain emissions standards are being met by a production plant. Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist Tasks Conduct research for the purpose of identifying, abating, or eliminating sources of pollutants or environmental hazards. Generate and maintain documentation related to EHS initiatives. Contribute to administration of EHS programs.

Our engineers and technicians will continue to staff our network operations centers 24/7 to ensure network performance and reliability. Ensuring Safety During a Contractor Visit We’re focused on keeping our customers and employees safe. We’re continually educating our staff on best practices, such as proper hygiene and social distancing and are regularly disinfecting our trucks and equipment. Employees who feel ill have been instructed not to report to work. Our technicians who conduct in-home customer visits will only be dispatched to customer homes if they are healthy. Where our installation and service work can be performed outside the home or business, we will complete our work without customer contact. If you're experiencing flu-like symptoms and have a scheduled appointment, please let us know immediately so that we can discuss options with you to ensure our collective well-being. We won't collect our fees for 30 days for residential or small business customers who face difficult economic circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Similarly, we won't charge late fees for those customers facing difficult economic circumstances related to the pandemic. We'll continue to closely monitor this dynamic situation and are well prepared to continue delivering reliable services. We have extensive business and workforce continuity plans in place that will be adjusted as needed to best serve all our customers and employees.
