As part of what I considered my responsibility in Community Service I served on the Board of the Greater Steuben Area Chamber of Commerce for 10 years and am th...e Past President of the Hammondsport Chamber of Commerce and still an active member. I have always believed in supporting local businesses and today is a targeted day for all of you to do just that. Please mask up and visit the local businesses in your area. After a lengthy conversation and consulting Steuben County Public Health our Board of Directors has decided that we will not be doing Trunk-or-Treat on Halloween this year. With the Covid-19 Pandemic still ongoing and social distancing requirements still in place it would be very difficult to try and pull off an event like this. We certainly hope we'll be able to have our normal Trunk-or-Treat event in October of 2021. Thank you for your continued support. -Bill Collmer ... Board President

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by the Fairgrounds this weekend to check out the new Hometown Hero Banners. We would also like to thank Committee Chairperson Lisa Fox from the Chamber Board and her husband Mike. Lisa took over the Hometown Hero Banner program a few years ago and has done a tremendous job keeping track of everything and keeping this program successful. Mike was a big help both Saturday and Sunday.

Stop by the Steuben County Fairgrounds in Bath tomorrow from 1-4 p.m. to our Drive Thru unveiling of the new Hometown Hero banners. A special thank you to Fair Manager Nick Pelham for all of his help with this.

Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control related to COVID-19 we are canceling our 2020 Music in the Park Series. In order to follow the current guidelines we wouldn’t have been allowed to have more than 50 people in Pulteney Park to listen to and enjoy the musicians each week. The Chamber board of directors felt because of these restrictions and stringent requirements that our best course of action would be to cancel the series for 2020. The musicians scheduled t...o perform for us have been notified and re-scheduled for July 2021 in hopes that we can go back to our normal Music in the Park series without these current rules and regulations. The Zac Brown Tribute Band is scheduled to open up for us on Wednesday July 7th 2021 from 6 p.m-8 p.m. in Pulteney Park in Bath. Please Save the Date.
