Peru After more than 36 years, a Mount Assumption Institute High School class ring has been returned to the original owner, thanks to Roy Stewart of Peru, NY. Roy found the 1984 class ring while metal detecting in a nearby park and took it upon himself to return the ring. He used the information at hand and Mount Assumption Institute Public Group | Facebook, the date, high school and a set of initials engraved on the inner band to track the ring back to Judith Barrett Ha...rt, who now lives in another state. Roy said the ring was found three or four inches deep, in proximity to a nearby athletic field. Roy Stewart said she lost the ring while playing softball sometime in 1984. She was very happy to have the ring returned, He said she was shocked to hear it had been found so many years later.
