Jewish people around the world will yet again mournfully observe Tisha B’Av for the 1,951st time. Mourning the destruction of our holy temple. Fast begins at 8:14 PM tonight and ends tomorrow evening at 8:44 PM Halachik observances include: abstaining from eating, drinking, bathing, wearing leather footwear, and marital relations for the 25 hours of Menachem-Av 9 (from sundown on Av 8 to nightfall on Av 9). It’s also customary to sit on the floor or a low chair until after mi...dday. Torah study is restricted to laws of mourning and passages describing the destruction of the Temple. Note: Tallit & Tefillin aren’t worn until Mincha. Our Sages taught: observing Tisha B’Av properly during our time of exile will enable fullest participation in the unbridled joy & comfort to be brought by Moshiach.

Wishing our Family and the world good health, safety and prosperity! The eight-day festival of Passover is celebrated in the early spring, from the 15th through the 22nd of the Hebrew month of Nissan. It commemorates the emancipation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt. It is observed by avoiding leaven and highlighted by the Seder meals that include four cups of wine, eating matza and bitter herbs, and retelling the story of the Exodus. Happy Passover!
