Vazquez, DDS '89 Dr. Vazquez is the current President ...of the Puerto Rico Dental Association of the USA and has served in leadership roles in many dental organizations. Favorite NYU Dentistry memory: Meeting my best friend and wife Dr. Claudia Mahon-Vazquez, DDS ‘89 in freshman year, studying with her, because she took awesome notes! I finally married her in our senior year and we have spent the past 31 years together as proud parents and life partners. Favorite foods: Roasted pork, Canned corned beef with either sweet plantains or french fries, mofongo (Plantain mashed with garlic and pieces of pork rinds) and of course, rice and beans! Hispanic Heritage Month is important because it highlights the accomplishments of so many Hispanics that have helped to shape this world and this country into what it has become. Tropical Storm Isaias has caused a power outage in the office. We hope to be open tomorrow but are not certain of the time. As soon as our phones and computers are up and running we will contact all patients who had appointments. Thank you for your patience and we hope you are all safe!

Welcome Back!! Our office may look different and our staff members have some new protocols in place in order to keep everyone safe. We want to address the needs of all our patients and are calling each person who had an appointment in March, April, and May. We will also be sending reminder cards to those who are due for a checkup. Please contact us if you need an appointment or have an emergency. After so many weeks of only being able to help our patients with their Dental emergencies, our Governor announced today that we may return to treating our patients for all of their dental care. We will be contacting all the patients who had appointments and of course continue to insure all emergencies are addressed. Please be patient as we catch up and adjust to the new protocols we have in place. We look forward to seeing you and please continue to stay safe. Remember to call when you arrive in the parking lot and wear a mask when entering the office.
