Ken Goodkind's son, Adam, has #NF2. An avid poker player, Ken has participated in nearly every CTF poker fundraiser, served on the planning committee and has represented CTF twice at the World Series of Poker. "Winning is great, but the tournament is just an excuse for me to see the NF crowd and to contribute to CTF. [My advice to new players is to] enjoy yourself and don't take the game too seriously. My purpose in being there is to raise money for CTF and have a good time, ...winning is a by-product. "[That said,] the World Series of Poker IS a learning experience... I did much better the second time, but went from riches to rags in an instant, losing in an unusual hand. But that's poker. I wear my CTF shirts at the World Series and do get a fair number of questions, so it spreads the word." This year, the Children's Tumor Foundation is hosting the National Poker Tournament online! John has a close connection to the hospital - it's where he brings his 4-year-old son Landon for testing and treatment for NF.
