I guess these deer are a huge fan of Matthew 12:33! Either make the tree good and it’s fruit good, or make the tree bad and it’s fruit bad, for the tree is known by it’s fruit. I guess our apple tree here at CTK passes the test!
CTk is happy to be able to help!
How fitting that our reading today focuses on the importance of mission on the feast day of St. Therese of Liseux! She beautifully sacrificed her life for Christ as a Carmelite nun and is the patron saint of missions!
A huge kudos to our Director of Marketing Barb and our Maintenance extraordinaire Rich, for decorating our house yesterday! The Director was shocked when he came in this morning in a good way!
Autumn is a beautiful time to reflect in prayer at Christ the King Retreat HouseAutumn Months O God of Creation, you have blessed us with the changing of the seasons. As we welcome the autumn months, may the earlier setting of the sun... remind us to take time to rest. May the brilliant colors of the leaves remind us of the wonder of your creation. -Author Unknown
Btw, please feel free to share your reflections of the passage in our comments section! You can also email me at [email protected] if you need some prayers or if you’d like to send a personal reflection. Have a blessed day!
The Calling of Saint Matthew is a masterpiece by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio and depicts the moment at which Jesus Christ inspires Matthew to follow him. This image proudly hangs in our library here at CTK and is frequently commented on by our guests! On this his feast day, let us pray for the courage to say yes to God as he calls us to follow Him as missionary disciples!
