Thank you CenterState CEO for hosting the virtual event Understanding the New Stimulus Deal yesterday. Thank you also to federal representatives, Rep. John Katko, Sen. Chuck Schumer, and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand for your time and information shared for our local business community. The Cicero-Plank Road Chamber will continue this important topic at our monthly membership meeting Wednesday January 20th. We've begun collecting questions from our members regarding Round 2 of the SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) so we can have answers to share with you. If you have questions regarding PPP or the Stimulus Package, please message us. Then join us Wednesday January 20th at noon for a time of networking and discussion. On Wednesday's monthly virtual online Luncheon the 2021 the Cicero-Plank Road Chamber of Commerce Officers & Board Members were announced. President, Ryan Pregent of Kishmish, an information technology company, started right here in Central New York, quietly linking us together for over a decade. Vice President, Randall Barnard, Branch Manager of the Pathfinder Bank Cicero Vice President, Richard Kunz of R. Kunz Consultants, Commercial Fleet Consultant for small and midsize... Commercial and Municipal fleets. Secretary, Paul Ahrens, Financial Consultant, Michael Roberts Associates Treasurer, Brett Grandjean with Grandjean, Wagner, Beiter & Company Past President, Scott Lacik, Assistant Vice President, Branch Deposit Officer, Pathfinder Bank. Danielle Hatashita, Branch Manager, AmeriCU Credit Union Howard Krueger, Krueger Funeral Home Sarah Parton, Business Development Officer, Visions Federal Credit Union Thank you to all the board members for your service to our community. We also bid a fond farewell to long time board member and former Cicero Chamber President, Dan Spink. We're glad to say Dan isn't leaving the chamber, but remains an active member and will work on some special Chamber projects. This year's recipient of the "Tony Russo" Volunteer of the Year Award, named after long time Plank Road Chamber member Tony Russo, was given to Dan Spink for all his work with the Cicero Chamber, along with his assistance on the merge of the Cicero and Plank Road Chambers. Even with Covid-19 the Cicero-Plank Road Chamber of Commerce is making sure that our members and quests have a monthly venue to exchange ideas, news and support. Speakers at our virtual meeting this month were Reggie Kelley, Executive Director of Rise Above Poverty. A local charity centered on the inter-city youth in Syracuse. Next we had Evan Grenier, Director of Operations for the North Area Volunteer Corps. (NAVAC) Serving the Northern area of Onondaga Count celebrating their 50th year of service to the community. And finally Toni’Lyn Brauchle from the The Can Teen in Cicero. A safe place where youth can gather. Keep track of our upcoming virtual events here on Facebook.
