It's Monarch Butterfly season! We have plenty of Asclepias here to help bring pollinators to your garden! You may just be lucky enough to get one with a Monarch caterpillar on it! We are open Friday-Monday from 9am-4:30pm (we are now closed Tues-Thurs). Happy gardening!
Beginning July 7, Claire's will be closed Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays for the rest of the season. Our hours are 9-4:30 Friday thru Monday. We thank all of you for your continued support, especially during this trying time. Be safe, be well, hope to see you soon!!!
Primrose, Bleeding Hearts, Sedums, Violas and the best of them all Forget-me-Nots ~ are all waiting for your garden. ~ ~ Sedum ~ ~ Stonecrop is one of the most popular perennials grown in American gardens because it is very easy to grow and Because of its thick, succulent leaves which can store water, sedum is drought tolerant. The lower growing types, however, will survive in partial shade. Divide sedum every 3-4 years to maintain it...s compact growth habit. Pinching the taller varieties back by half in early summer will also help prevent them from splitting. This plant is not usually bothered by pests or diseases. The seed heads of the taller varieties provide excellent winter interest and food for bothered by pests or diseases. 45 years! WOW!! Yes, Claire's is still owned & operated by the same family who bought it from its original owners back in 1973. Originally built in 1943, Claire's has become an intrical part of our community; a heart felt thanks to all of you who continue to support us! We are located just 9 miles north of where I-684 becomes Route 22. Turn right onto Haviland Hollow Road at the traffic light. Just a mile down the road on the left! Looking forward to seeing you and remember...: All "Roots" lead to Claire's

Posting after a long break ~ apologies ~ PHLOX Divaricata needs bright shade with organic, moist, well-drained, rich soils. It is also known by several common names including Woodland Phlox, Wild Blue Phlox, and Wild Sweet William. Woodland Wild Blue Phlox is one of our favorite spring flowers often found along streams and in open woods.
