Clarity Eye Care is HIRING! We are looking for two people who understand and will work towards our Mission Statement of "Creating an office environment that delivers an unexpected experience that makes life better for our patients and our employees". We are looking to fill two Part-Time positions, both between 20 and 25 hours a week. No weekend hours available; all Monday - Friday, generally between 9am and 4pm, with Monday or Wednesday evenings a possibility. First, we... are looking for a "PEOPLE PERSON"; who works well with a team, comfortable with computers, customer service minded, and values quality patient care. This person is cheerful and greets our patients, collects patient data, and prepares patient charts. This person will also schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and perform some clerical tasks. This person needs to have organizational skills and be able handle the pressure of multiple things going on at the same time. Second, we are looking for an assistant billing specialist. Again, a person who likes being part of a team, enjoys problem solving, and has computer knowledge. This person enjoys completing tasks. A bonus would be someone who has experience with insurance billing. Clarity Eye Care will be closed this Friday, February 26th, for a Staff Development Day. We are open regular business hours the rest of the week and will reopen with regular business hours on Monday, March 1st.

We are OPEN today! If you would like to see Dr. Whelan today...give us a call at 607-257-1066. Dr. Whelan has openings at 11:15am and 2:15pm today. She's from Buffalo! A little snow and wintry mix didn't scare her away today!

Lauren was excited to see the snow finally stop this afternoon! Looks like we won’t be using this table antlytime soon!!! I heard Punxsutawney Phil said there will be six more weeks of winter since he saw his shadow yesterday!

Everyone at Clarity Eye Care wants to send out at great big CONGRATULATIONS to Andrew Dohanich on being accepted to the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Doctor of Optometry Program. Andrew has worked as an optometric technician at our office for two years and has become a favorite team member among many of our patients. His outgoing personality and his genuine spirit resonate with everyone he meets. We are all excited as he moves forward in his journey to become an optometrist.

Two years ago today we opened our doors at our current 1284 Dryden Road, Ithaca location. We love it today as much as we did the day we opened! Little did we know two years ago we would NEED SO MUCH SPACE! We are easily able to maintain social distancing with our spacious optical and waiting areas, as well as separate contact lens room, pretesting room, and three exam rooms. We are very thankful that we have this space to keep ourselves and our patients safe during the pandemic while still offering our services and eye wear products to the community.
