In today's Biology faculty meeting, Dr. Shantanu Sur was acknowledged and congratulated for his recent achievement of tenure and promotion to Associate Professor of Biology!

The Clarkson Biology is saddened to learn today that our former colleague Professor George W. Gilchrist passed away. Prof. Gilchrist trained a number of Clarkson students on experimental evolutionary ecology using Drosophila. After leaving Clarkson, he became a Program Officer at the National Science Foundation. He will be missed.

Willow, the de facto Department of Biology mascot, will be helped in her mission to deliver top-notch biology education, support for research, and service to Clarkson University and beyond, by Professor Michael Twiss, the new Chair of Biology.
