It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of Charles Schneider, founding music director of the Clinton Symphony Orchestra. He passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by his family. Chuck was beloved by many, and devoted himself to promoting excellent classical music in the Mohawk Valley. He will be missed for his talent, his dedication and his immensely generous spirit.

I was thinking about all of you yesterday, as our planned concert date came and went. What a time we are living in! I hope you are all faring well and finding some positive perspective through all of this.... As we all navigate our way through this, I like to think that artists and their patrons can be especially adept at coping. Music is soothing company, an expression of everyday's ups and downs, providing something beautiful everyday. It's spring! Listen to and play music with the birds. They know summer is coming. The Clinton Symphony Orchestra of the Mohawk Valley has postponed its concert A Celebration of Strings, slated for April 5, 2020, in order to ensure the health and safety of our audiences and musicians.
