For the past 29 years, the Foundation has grown because of the consistent and generous support of our donors. Together we have provided the school with much needed financial support for purchases that have enhanced our programs and student education. This year, in these challenging times, we realize that our neighbors and local businesses need the assistance of their community to recover from the economic strain brought on by this current health crisis. Therefore, this year w...e are not actively conducting our annual fund campaign. Instead, we encourage you to support your local shops, businesses, artists, restaurants, food pantries* and charitable organizations. Pursuant to our mission, the Foundation will continue to assist the school by using our endowment funds for the 2020-2021 school year. The CCS Fitness Center just got a major upgrade! 6 treadmills 2 bikes 2 recumbant bikes... 2 elliptical machines All state of the art matrix machines with screens and bluetooth configuration which provide the ability to connect to your fitness trackers (Fitbit and apple fitness). This creates a whole life approach to a student's health. The highschoolers who were orientated all were eager to jump right in to fitness challenges over break! Daniella and Elliot are 2 of our CCS students that have animatronic babies from health class to simulate what it would be like to have a newborn. It cries and needs to be held, changed, & fed. These babies were funded by the ccs foundation last year. A mom says, "these babies are very realistic to real babies and I feel it a great life lesson of the work involved with babies." #forthekids #whereyourdonationsgo

During the past 27 years, the CCSD Foundation has provided over $ 900,000 worth of funding to the school district, including current initiatives of: a new K-5 reading program ($134,000), updated kitchen equipment for the Family and Consumer Science program ($8,000), and equipment upgrades to the fitness center serving students in grades 6-12 ($83,000). Be on the look-out for the annual donation letter to arrive in your mailbox early in the week of November 25th. Elementary teachers LOVE this new reading and written language series! The Rigby Reading Series was a substantial purchase by the Foundation to ensure the entire K-5 building could begin in September. Ask your kids and their teachers what they think! What a wonderful summer the Foundation had! The Foundation held its 22nd Annual Golf Tournament on July 15, 2019 at Skenandoa Club in Clinton, NY. The tournament raised almost $10,000 to be used by the Foundation to help support educational programs at the schools. First place winner of the men's’ event was the McLean Team (Kevin Conway, Steve Johns, Nick Johns, Jordan Keller).... In the mixed event the first place winner was the Smallen Team (Dave Smallen, Robin Kinnel, Alan Cafruny, Mari Assad). Thank you to the Clinton Community who will be donating door prizes, the volunteers who are planning the event, and the players, without whom this event would not be possible.

Your foundation dollars helped to improve the K-12 Art Program by purchasing a Laser Cutter and 3D Printer. These types of projects are not in the District budget but are necessary to provide the students with up-to-date education. Are you interested in donating? 'Real Babies'! Did you know that the foundation funded the purchase of Real Care Babies?! These students used these infant simulators in the middle and high school health curriculum to promote understanding of challenges of infant care. The baby's internal computer monitors and reports the care the students provide back to the teacher. The students are required to care for the child out of school and at home as well. #forthekids #whereyourdonationsgo
