Award-winning Chinese artist Zhinan Jiang is displaying 25 of his masterful watercolor works in a free exhibit at Rock Center. Jiang has received noteworthy attention for his artwork in China and is an Associate Professor of Fine Arts at the prestigious Tsinghua University, and is currently serving as a visiting professor at SUNY Oswego. It was on a previous trip to Syracuse that his artistic focus shifted to depictions of everyday life, due to his involvement in a near death... car accident. Holiday hours are 11AM-5PM on Tues 11/19-Wed 11/20 and Wed 11/27-Fri 11/29. For more information, call the Rock Center at (315) 634-9494.

The team from "Caroling Down the Hill" went to Bridge Street today, by way of the Marriott Syracuse Downtown. In case you missed it this morning, here's the video of interviews with Setnor School of Music Director Martha Sutter and renowned soprano Janet Brown and a performance of "I'll Be Home for Christmas" by Jeffrey Welcher. We're so grateful to the faculty and friends of Setnor School of Music for bringing their talents "down the hill" and making Sunday night a "can't miss" event in Syracuse!

Our pandas aren't too excited for the first snowfall of the season. But they'll learn to love Syracuse winter as much as we do! #syracuse #winter #cnyccc

As leaves change from green to red here in Syracuse, our tea changes from green to black. But black tea hasn’t always been a favorite among Chinese. Check out this great article from Sixth Tone on the history of black tea and how it's come to be the tea of choice once the weather turns cold.
