To all CNYUSBC members and proprietors, I have recently submitted my resignation to our local CNYUSBC office. I have been a director for 14 years, and Vice President for 8 years. Despite the current condition of bowling, as we are in the midst of a perfect storm, I have been proud of being associated with both the SBA and the merger which created CNYUSBC 3 years ago. And I hope I have served the bowling community well.... This is not an impulsive decision, I gave it a lot of thought. Being way past retirement age, one would think my employment life would become easier. Unfortunately, it hasn’t as we are doing more with less, which requires much more time on my part. And I can’t do both anymore. Proprietors, feel free to contact me if you wish to have a voluntary inspection. It’s not required, as all centers are certified this year. But I can’t answer for National USBC as they’ve informed us they will handle inspection themselves in the coming years. In any event, I’ve appreciated all your support in the past 14 years. Thank you CNYUSBC, SBA, and especially the bowlers. RRRIPKA

ATTENTION MEMBERS As everyone is aware, due to the Covid 19 pandemic and under the stipulations of NYPause, meetings of more than ten (10) have been required to be postponed in the best interest of the public. Meeting places have not, as yet, been allowed to open and gatherings of more than ten (10) people are still restricted even with social distancing requirements. We have contacted and received USBC’s recommendations regarding our 2020 Annual Meeting and Elections. Ba...sed upon those recommendations and the unprecedented situation we have been experiencing, the 2020 Annual Meeting is canceled and the expiring Board Officers and Directors positions, as follows, have been extended, by appointment, through July 31, 2023: Vice President: Rob Ripka Directors: Sandy Adiano, Don LaValley & Mary Scarson Youth Director: Jackie Wituszynski The entire CNY USBC Association Board will continue to serve our bowling community throughout this pandemic and into the future. We hope we will soon be able to return to the sport we enjoy so much. As we have all experienced throughout this pandemic, there may be a new normal but we will look forward to being together again and rolling those GREAT SCORES!!!!! Stay safe and stay well!!!
