Congrats to our guy @eric_madenberg on his commitment to Binghamton! @amp_athlete #baseball #collegebaseball
Single arm DB bench press with hips off bench Great exercise for athletes who need to improve posterior chain strength #strength #chestpress #singlearm #glutestrength
Another college send off for a long time @amp_athlete @cameron_mayer I’ve had the pleasure of working with Cameron for the past 5 years. We wish you nothing but the best! You’ve come a long way from the kid that used to be able to fold into a suitcase! Good luck @tuftsbaseball
Video 1- The use of fake throws can improve the athlete's ability to decelerate. The more an athlete can decelerate, the more power and speed they can have behind a movement Video 2- The use of a fake throw into a throw allows the athlete to now release the energy they have stored. Giving them an ability to reaccelerate and more power behind the throw Video 3- depth drop to hurdle drop. Landing into a jump, building on the focus of storing to releasing energy.... How does this transfer? Video 4 re-acceleration. For the most part field, sports are played under re-acceleration. Quick bursts of storing and releasing energy. Building transfer of movement from our power work to our speed work allows the athletes to improve movement skill portion of the speed session. #speed #transfer #movement #bodycontrol
Multi-grip bar bench press Here we have @amp_athlete @nick14serio demonstrating one of the ways we use the multi-grip bar. He's using the angled handles. Two reasons we like using this grip is to... - keep the shoulders in a better position - teach the athlete how to "break the bar" One of the issues with a regular bench press is the position the shoulders can be put it. By using the angled bar we can teach the athlete a better way of bench pressing. Allowing the athlete to safely reap all the benefits of as great exercise. #strength #press #bench #benchpress
Last week we talked about finding the athletes limiting factors. Once the limiting factors have been discovered it’s time to build good movement

Gaining weight can seem hard. But chances are you aren’t eating nearly enough to add the muscle you want. Doesn’t matter what you’re eating double the amount of food you’re already eating. It seems so simple but for some, it can be difficult.... One of the reasons most of us can’t gain muscle is because you just don’t eat enough. Following the simple rule of doubling what you eat makes eat easy to start figuring out how much you truly need #weightgain #musclegain #nutrition #fuel #foodisfuel #performance #performancenutrition #eattorecover #eattoperform #eattogrow
Transformer bar split squats @pj.daniels10 giving us an example of a way of advancing the split squat. The transformer bar gives another way of adding more weight to the exercise.... #strength #splitsquat #singleleg #singlegstrength
At @amp_athlete we believe in building a program for you. Everything we do is for you the individual Not a program that was written for everyone. Not having everyone doing the same thing. We believe taking the time to create something to help you, not just throwing you in with a group that is already doing something.... We're not a cookie-cutter approach. We have a system and reason for everything we do. To learn more about our system, head over to the link in the bio to learn more about how we design our programs. Make sure you subscribe to the youtube channel as well! #indivdual #program #evaluation #strength #speed #power #athleticdevelopment
Upper body power brought to you by @nick14serio Another example of power exercises that we use often. Ploy push up off bench... We use this to either excite the nervous system on an upper body day or pair it with a press for a contrast training variation #power #upperbody #upperbodypower #plyo #plyopushup
