Still people walking around making these claims. Most of them couldn’t carry their shopping from the car to the kitchen without needing a break.

Let’s talk T A R G E T S Do you set targets for yourself & your training? Or do you like to see where each session takes you? There is no right or wrong answer, we train in our own way and find what works best for us personally. However, despite your answer above, everyone has a goal; fat loss, muscle gain, more speed, better technique, to learn, get stronger, injury recovery. ... The goal is essentially your driver/motivation. Eg: ‘I go to work each day to get paid’. But notice we asked about TARGETS in the first sentence. TARGETS & GOALS are two separate things, yes they cross over, or rather TARGETS are born from goals but they are definitely two different ‘measures’ & depending on how your mind works, what you put upon your training can have a very positive or a detrimental effect. It is important to understand the difference & what this means for you. GOALS are objectives; the reason for doing. Like we said, you train to get fitter, lose body fat, get stronger. Whereas TARGETS are measurable of your goal; you aim to lose 7lbs by a specific day (your wedding day) or a more general time period (next summer) or your target is to be able to deadlift X amount, by a certain date or within a certain timeframe. Eg: You go to work to get paid to save up $5000 to buy a car' - now there is now a numerical figure attached to your original goal. Everyone needs goals otherwise we are mindlessly doing stuff with no real purpose & that’s when we can get bored, uninterested, start to deviate from the course. But, targets are quite a different ball game. If you are someone that is focused, not easily disappointed & analytical then targets will be your jam, but if you are easily frustrated, overly hard on yourself & can have the notion of getting disheartened, then stick with your goals, at least at first, see some development/ changes to build trust in the process & belief in your self, then if you want to set goals, make them realistic for your own lifestyle. Just because someone else is doing something doesn’t mean you need to do too. Turning up & being consistent is a start, and in fact, should be EVERYONE'S number 1 goal. #ncfitarmonk #targetsvsgoals

P R A C T I C E. So our attention has been on the AIR SQUAT the past week and it’s been a real eye (and hip) opener for many. When practicing a movement with the correct form it becomes something entirely different and we FEEL IT! As we can see in this video, everyone is different, everyone’s body takes different amounts of time to adapt and adopt, we all have different things to work on and non of us are perfect, BUT that’s the beauty of this training...... We are always learning, and not just learning ‘how to’, we are learning more about ourselves and our bodies every day. Can you notice the different issues each of these athletes has? - - - - #airsquat #airsquatting #learningthefundamentals #learningformandtechnique #bootyburn #squatitlikeitshot #everybodyisdifferent #techniquetutorials #mondaymotivation

T E C H N I Q U E - T U T O R I A L S. **AIR SQUAT** with @coachmarkofferdahl A great example of a 'closed-chain kinetic movement', an air squat is simple yet effective IF performed correctly. ... An air squat is not just bending your knees to touch the ground, ok essentially that is what your body looks like it's doing but there is much more with how you engage your muscles and hold yourself... - - - #techniquetutorials #ncfitarmonk #formiskey #trainwithoutpain #airsquat #squatitlikeitshot #movementbreakdown #helpingyougwthealthy armonkgym #fitnessforeveryone #newyearresolution #fitfor2021 #livebetter #trainbetter
