Today Geneva’s Firefighters took to the city streets to give Santa a ride around the city to bring cheer to all the kids and people that seen or heard them coming good job and nice job Geneva PD for escorting them merry Christmas it’s been a rough year but at least in some way the kids still got to see santa

Testing I will Be going live for the fire truck parade that’s coming down Castle Street in to see if Geneva should be here around 5:45 to 6pm

Ontario county is having a Holiday Convoy tonight. Fire trucks , police, sheriffs, ambulances etc. will be driving through city at about 530-545. They will come off Pre emption rd to castle, down castle to 5 and 20 then west to route 14a. Should be great for the kids! I will be at the corner of castle st and exchange st taking pictures and videoing this parade I will try to live stream some of the event

this morning around 9:30 the white springs and Geneva fire dept's responded to a fire in the apartment the fire was brought under control very quickly good job by all

today around 2pm the west lake rd fire dept was toned out for smoke coming from a dairy barn on county rd 6 engine 2912 called in route and with in minutes said he had a header in the sky chief 29-0 then requested a 2nd alarm bring in several local fire companies to fight the fire as well as setup a fill site Westlake rd was there for several hours after the fire was called under control doing over haul

so i have decided at this time i will most likely not be going to any fires ect do what is going on i feel its just better not to be around a bunch of others even if it is outside in the coming days i will keep people posted thank you everyone for supporting me and the page stay safe and healthy

around 730 the junius fire dept responded to a house fire on birdsey road

the 2nd annual first responder dinner was held on march 7th 2020 at the Geneva American legion it was well attended with this years event we raised over 3 thousand dollars for Rochester police officer Denny wright a brother in blue that was severely injured on the job last year great job to all that helped with the event and came out and supported it also we would not have had the event if it was not for Geneva police officer Ronnie Eveland the creator of this event also congrats to those who received awards last night

Tonight around 8 pm the north side fire company responded to a reported chimney fire on county rd 6 in the town of geneva the fire was quickly extinguished and contained to the chimney

around 4pm today the Seneca castle Hopewell and Stanley fire dept's were toned out for smoke inside the trailer possibly due to a hot water tank chief 24-01 went on scene with in minutes and called for a 2nd alarm bringing in Geneva with a fast team and Oaks corners for rehab thanks to all that helped also thanks to finger lakes ambulance Ontario county emo truck 35 and Ontario county 911 and sheriffs

on Saturday 2/15/2020 the Geneva Fd hosted its annual firefighter training seminar at the smith opera house fire dept's from all over the area came together on a Saturday to listen to the speakers talk about a thing that is becoming a growing concern for the fire service short handed firefighting thanks to the guest speakers mike Healy from Rockland county ny and FDNY firefighter Robert LaGrow also a special thank you to Geneva assistant chief kelvin powers who has been the main person in charge of making this seminar a annual thing for many many years

On Thursday 01/30/20 at 1405 Hours, the Oaks Corners Fire Department was dispatched to Halco Plumbing and Heating at 865 County Road 6 for a report of a recycling bin on fire outside the building. The 911 Center began receiving numerous calls with conflicting information as to whether or not the bin was inside or outside the building. Some reports also indicated an explosion with a person injured. The fire dispatcher upgraded the response to a first-alarm structure fire assig...nment which included an engine from the Lyons Fire Department, a tanker from the Junius Fire Department, and an ambulance from Phelps Ambulance Inc. The Phelps Fire Department and Mercy Flight were also placed on standby. Oaks Corners Deputy Chief Zachery Rey was the first arriving fire unit on scene and reported a working structure fire in a storage building with an exposure problem. He requested a second alarm assignment, and due to the lack of a municipal water supply, he also requested a tanker task force. The patient was treated on scene by Phelps & Oaks Corners EMS crews and was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight Central. The fire was declared under control in about an hour and crews conducted overhaul and investigative work for a few hours. County Road 6 was closed for approximately two hours. The fire is under investigation by the Ontario County Office of Emergency Management and the Ontario County Office of Sheriff.

on 01/25/2020 the town of Seneca fire depts held there yearly required training at the Stanley fire house there were a few other fire dept personal there from other area depts thanks to Stanley for hosting the days training it was a great turn out
