FYI, Round Lake is on the list.
What's wrong with the City of Troy? The City of Cohoes is auctioning off old street signs to raise funds for the Spindle City Dog Park. The City of Troy can't e...ven dedicate a location within a city park for a decent dog park. Remember that on primary day tomorrow. Time for new leadership for a new direction in Troy. Let your voice be heard!
Good to know!!!
Great news! Last Thursday night (April 4th), the Dog Park Working Group submitted a plan to the Troy City Finance Committee for the proposed Dog Park to be loca...ted in the northwestern section of Prospect Park. The proposal was unanimously accepted by the Finance Committee and now will be brought to the Troy City Council for discussion and hopefully acceptance! Prospect Park was chosen as the site since it is the most centrally located but somewhat secluded park with lots of available open space and parking. In the future, hopefully other dog park locations will be selected to serve all the neighborhoods of Troy. Big shout out to CCC member Laura Rabinow for successfully chairing the group through nine months of meetings! Her management skill, ability to move the discussion forward with a sometimes distracted group (maybe because she owns cattle dogs ;)...) and her lack of outside agenda was inspiring to work with! From this point, you should let your council person know how much you support the creation of the new Dog Park in Prospect Park. If you are interested in getting a draft copy of the Dog Park report, please contact [email protected]. FYI, you can also register or re-register your pups with the city while you are at it!
